Cut the produce into big pieces, not small ones. Feed them into the 3-inch chute, guide them down with the pusher, and let the 1,000-watt motor get to work.
Turn the dial to low for softer produce like watermelon, cucumber, tomatoes and strawberries, then to high for harder fare such as carrots, beets, apples and ginger. A stainless-steel filter basket separates juice from pulp, the liquid runs into its container beneath a splash guard, and the pulp collects in a removable container that holds up to 9 cups. With a chute that wide, there’s far less chopping to do first.
Cleanup is just as direct: lift off the parts, give the filter a pass with the included brush, and set the rest in the top rack of the dishwasher. A locking arm holds the cover in place while it runs, and nonslip feet keep it steady on the counter. Fresh juice, without spending the morning at the cutting board.
